THE PCA TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE FORUM

All PCA Technology Committee Forum (hereafter referred to as Tech Forum) Users agree
to abide by the Forum Rules, and acknowledge and accept the disclaimer and liability
statement herein.

FORUM RULES

Forum users must ensure they comply with the Tech Forum Rules and by using the Tech Forum you agree to be subject to these Forum Rules now and any posted in the future, and that you will keep up to date with them. You also agree to inform us if you see any content in breach of these rules.

The Tech Forum moderators will remove posts and topics which are in breach of these rules and users breaching the rules may be banned.

Be polite and respectful to all forum users, including moderators. Discrimination of any type will not be tolerated, and Language must be professional and polite.

Keep discussions on topic. Posts must be appropriate to the forum and the discussion. The Tech Forum is for discussion of technology related questions, technology issues and observations relevant to residents of the Peninsula. Any posts outside this subject area do not belong on this website and will be removed from the forum.

Messages must not contain any content which could be considered defamatory, offensive, illegal, obscene, deliberately provocative, or inflammatory.

Your posting must be your own content or if that of another source attribution must be provided. Information provided must be truthful and factual. Opinions and statements that are unsubstantiated must be acknowledged as such.

You may not post complaints on the forum, particularly if identifying other users or any other person or organization.

You may not post commercial advertisements of any kind. Advertisements for noncommercial purposes may be permitted with the written permission of the Tech Forum administrators. You may provide brief details of a service or product supplier in response to a question or other post if it helps to answer a posted questions. References to surveys, contests and so on are not permitted.

Forum users are permitted a single account only. Your forum profile is your responsibility to maintain. Your forum name must adhere to rules regarding posts with respect to professionalism and politeness.

This Technology Forum is intended for Peninsula residents only. The staff members may invite a few non-resident users based on their potential contributions to the forum. Any user who signs up who is not a resident either by being an owner, a long term renter, or a household member of an owner or long term renter, may be removed from the forum by the staff.

Posts must adhere to intellectual property law, including copyright law. You must not post, upload, download or otherwise exchange copyright protected material through the forums. Material extracted from copyright protected sources must be referenced. You may be held liable for breaches in copyright, or other, law broken as a result of your posts.

The forum is not intended to be a place for transaction whether financial, trade or exchange of any kind. The forum staff will ask for such postings to be removed immediately or will delete them as appropriate.

User’s posts are their personal opinions and do not represent the views of the PCA Technology Forum. The PCA Board, any employee of Peninsula community management or any members of the PCA Technology Committee and forum staff are not responsible for the content of forum posts, and do not certify any information on the forums as correct, worthy or accurate.

In that regard all Forum users recognize that the PCA Technology Forum administrators and moderators are all unpaid and uncompensated volunteers who will to the best of their ability, monitor the forum posts for inaccurate and incorrect information but not always be aware that said information exists within the forum. You should treat any advice received on the PCA Technology Forum under these considerations. If, as a follow-up of a forum post or posts, a moderator uses a direct mean of interacting with the user i.e., by telephone, text, or a meeting or visit, it is understood that the moderator will be acting in a personal capacity as a neighbor or friend, and no longer as a forum staff.

All posts and other communications through the PCA Technology Committee Forum including private communications, are the property of the PCA Technology Forum. We reserve the right to remove your content, including all posts and topics created, at our discretion. The PCA Technology Forum staff, the members of the PCA Board and members of the PCA Technology Committee do not accept responsibility for posts containing search engine results that may include protected or incorrect information. The PCA Technology Forum administrators will to the best of their ability remove said posts if and when brought to their attention.

Your email address is not visible to other forum users. If you disclose any contact details through the forums you do so at your own risk. The PCA Technology Forum does not accept any responsibility for the consequences of such disclosure.

PCA Technology Forum team members can view your email address. This will be kept private, except if we are requested to provide this information by a duly authorized person or organization with the legal right to make such a request.

LIABILITY

Neither the Forum Administrators, Members of the Peninsula Technology Committee, any member of the PCA Board of Directors or any moderators will be responsible for any resulting damages or claims made by Users of this forum as a result direct or otherwise from their use of this forum and the information provided. As the User, you accept sole liability for any content you post to the forums and any resulting damages or claims made by other Users who may rely on the information you post. You agree to indemnify the PCA Board and its members and PCA Technology Committee members and forum staff members against all costs, claims, damages, liability, legal fees, loss and other expenses we may incur resulting from your post(s) or other communications using the PCA Technology Committee Forum. We expressly exclude any liability for damages or loss resulting from a breach of the Forum Rules. We retain the right to remove or block access to any material, which we believe is in breach of the Forum Rules, at our sole discretion.
